Elaine O’Reilly has a Master’s of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Alaska where she specialized in family systems work and is a Licensed Professional Counselor within the Sate of Colorado. She is director and owner of New Perspectives for Business, Family and Personal Growth, Inc., a psychotherapy, personal growth and conflict resolution agency in Evergreen, Colorado. Ms. O’Reilly is an experienced psychotherapist who specializes in counseling, divorce mediation, child and family evaluations, and shared-parenting consultation. Her overall orientation reflects a family systems perspective. She has studied the works of and attended workshops with such renowned family therapists as Murray Bowen, Carl Whittaker, Jay Haley, Cloe Manages, Robert MacGregor, Stephen DeShazer and Salvador Minuchin. Elaine has also completed EMDR training with Francine Shapiro and is a Level II EMDR practitioner.
Elaine O’Reilly has been doing child and family evaluations (formerly custody evaluations) for the past nineteen years and has completed over 150 evaluations. She has been appointed as a Special Advocate/Parenting Coordinator on fifty plus cases and has testified as an expert witness on numerous occasions. She has successfully completed over 250 divorce mediations, specializing in cases where there is high conflict and emotional problems. She is a practitioner member of the Academy of Family Mediators and a Guidelines member of the Colorado Council of Mediators and Mediator Organizations. She also has over 200 hours of mediation training and has completed a one-year mediation internship. In addition, Ms. O’Reilly has over thirty years experience in counseling, assessment and administration. Her career also includes establishing and directing two counseling programs, being Director of Outpatient Services for Adams Mental Health Center, and being a consultant to Social Services and Headstart.
